if you are struggling with the sign up - that you havent got the email and its not in your spam folder, send an email containing your username to james@ezmuze.co.uk and MAKE SURE you send it from the email address you signed up with and I will manually activate your account (please note, this may take up to 24 hours)
site rebuild
Plans have been in place for a whole new ezmuze website. Servers were purchased, lines set up and so on. And then our hand was forced. A drive failure has caused the databases to be corrupted and restoring from backups has been unsuccessful.
Obviously this is never good news, but there are some good things. Mostly, none of the files uploaded were lost. The plans for the new website are pretty epic. Some of the plans include:
- user folders - keep your uploads in your own folders and manage them how you like
- user playlists - create an album of your uploads - or a compilation of other peoples tracks
- mini sites - collect all the above into your own themed site with youre own URL
- cross platform support - transfer tracks from different versions of ezmuze+2.0
- better browsing - find new tracks by style, speed, artist etc
- more compos - biweekly themed competitions
- mobile tools - special versions of the site for WP7, iOS and Android
To make all this happen we need to rework the whole site, so the loss of the database isnt actually that bad, it just means between now and when its finished things will be a little loose around the edges.
We are going to endeavour to get functionality to you as soon as possible, starting with the user areas so uploading will return to ezmuze+1.x
